Mission Partners
Mission Partners

At Christ Church Beckenham we have the privilege of partnering with a number of organisations and individuals around the world who are working to share the Good News of Jesus Christ and are seeking to meet the various needs in the communities in which they serve. Our current Mission Partners are:

Starfish Asia
– bringing education and hope to children in Pakistan –

Bushfire
– empowering and equipping children and families in Uganda –

Dick and Caroline Seed
– training Bible teachers in key theological institutions across Africa –

IcFEM
(Interchristian Fellowships’ Evangelical Mission)

– community development, evangelism and holistic care in Western Kenya –

Due to your generous and sacrificial giving we have been able to send at least £8500 to each of our Mission Partners to help fund their work in the year ahead. We have received some wonderful messages of thanks and encouragement from each of them. Read them below:

Bush Fire
This is great news. An amazing financial breakthrough for us and we trust it will bring hope to our children and the clinic services to the community. The Lord is indeed good and will never disappoint us if we can only trust Him like little children. Our gratitude to the mission group and the entire church family for their kind attitude and practical support. May the Lord reward you indeed.

IcFEM
What!! Wow, thank you so much. What a blessing you all are to the continuing work of our Lord and saviour Jesus Christ through IcFEM. Amazing indeed. Please thank everyone for the wonderful news and may God’s peace and protection be with each and every one of you especially now as we join the holy Catholic church (universal) to celebrate the birth of our Saviour Jesus Christ. Greetings just for the Vicar from all of us here.

Star Fish
We are equally delighted at the amazing and generous response from CCB and church members, a great Christmas gift. The Lord is gracious above expectation and we are very grateful for the way His people have gone the extra mile. Schools are still closed in Pakistan, until the end of January, but our team in Lahore is now making preparations for a year of teacher training and the possible opening of a permanent small residential teacher training centre. Many challenges, many opportunities. We wish you a blessed and uplifting Christmas

Dick & Caroline
We are deeply grateful for the financial contribution made to our CMS Mission Partner account by Christ Church Beckenham in 2020. It has been a difficult year in which many have experienced financial hardship. We echo the words of Paul in Philippians 4:18 “[We are] well supplied, having received… the gifts you sent, a fragrant offering, a sacrifice acceptable and pleasing to God.” To God be the glory for your partnership in this ministry of training lecturers to teach the Word of God effectively in their contexts. We won’t know the whole situation for sure until the end year report comes in March 2021 but this is going to help a lot.

To this end, could we also ask you to pray a week of online training with the Centre for Pastoral Studies (CEP) in Santiago, Chile from 4-8 January? Lecturers from Anglican theological institutions in Chile and Brazil will be participating.

– Dick & Caroline
