We welcome you to ‘Encounter’

This is a space where people with special educational needs can come and explore faith together.
We will have a semi-structured session, but also allow the space for those who need to explore the theme on their own.
We ask that each person (child or adult) with SEN comes with a parent/carer to the session.
Whilst booking is not required, if you could let us know that you are coming, that would be helpful as we would like this group to be a small community where everyone feels comfortable to connect and be together.

Each session we will explore a Bible story / Theme through activities, sensory play and sensory stories, conversations and songs.

If it’s your first time, you can expect something similar to this:
– Welcome and free exploration of the theme (sensory trays and activities)
– Short talk and Song
– Snack
– Prayer

We would love to meet you and be able to make our session the way that meets your needs, so please do come along and/or feel free to contact Kirstyn (kirstyn@ccb.org.uk) beforehand for a social story, photo of the building/room, and more information in preparation of you coming.

Our Mission: To journey alongside people with Special Educational Needs and their families. To open a space where they can explore and encounter God’s love and grow in their faith in Jesus.

Location: The Hall at Christ Church Beckenham. Fairfield Road, Beckenham.
