Our AimsMission Statement
CHRISTCHRIST is the one on whom our faith and life depend. We believe that the love of Christ is most perfectly known at the Cross where we are reconciled to God, and to one another. We want to know, love and follow Jesus better, and enable others to do so. Our aim is to present Jesus Christ through our ministry so that people come to know Him as Saviour, follow Him as Lord, and grow in maturity in Him. CHURCHCHURCH is who we are - a diverse fellowship, united in knowing God as our Father through Jesus Christ. We believe that the love of Christ is to be seen in the love Christians have for one another. We want this to be a reality in our life together, as we are filled with the Holy Spirit who produces godly character, and as we obey God's Word which is our rule in conduct. Our aim is for every member to use the gifts the Spirit gives for ministry, and to be equipped for Christian service by the Bible, which is our supreme authority for all we teach and believe. BECKENHAMBECKENHAM and beyond - is our mission field. We believe that we are sent into the world, as Jesus was, to share His love in word and deed. We want to build bridges of friendship into our community, to act with compassion and mercy, to stand for truth and righteousness, and to proclaim the good news of Jesus Christ. Our aim is for us all to be witnesses for Christ, and to send and support Christian workers at home and abroad. CHRIST CHURCH BECKENHAMCHRIST CHURCH BECKENHAM is at the heart of Beckenham, and we welcome any who would like to meet with us: young and old, married and single, parents and children. We believe life's highest priority is to love God and worship Him with our whole being. We want to encourage one another in this, and so we meet on Sundays and at other times, especially recognising the importance of praise and prayer, Biblical teaching and Christian fellowship. Our aim in all our activities is to help fulfill our mission statement, through our worship, ministry and witness, in the power of the Holy Spirit, to the glory of God. WELCOME"I hope you've enjoyed reading about Christ Church, and looking at our different pages. Your are always welcome to visit us - whether you are wanting to find out more about Jesus Christ, or to grow in your Christian faith. In preparing our website we have looked at a number of passages from the Bible, a few of which are listed below. You might like to look at some of them too. They will help you understand more about who Jesus Christ is, what the church is, and how we, his followers, try to live our lives. We hope you'll want to come with us in the life-changing adventure of following Jesus Christ. Nicholas Wynne-Jones
